The IU Health La Porte and Starke hospitals mobile health clinic will be offering free cervical and breast cancer screenings in various neighborhoods in August. Screenings are held inside the mobile health unit, which has two private exam rooms.
The screenings are for women ages 20-65 who have not received a pap test in one or more years, have not had a hysterectomy, and have not been diagnosed with cervical or breast cancer. They will take place from 8 a.m. – Noon, August 1 in Knox; 9 a.m. – Noon, August 6 in North Judson; and 9 a.m. – Noon August 17 in La Porte. Pre-registration is required by calling 219-325-7648.
