Franciscan Alliance sponsors Family Health/ Cancer Awareness Day at Indiana Dunes

CHESTERTON – Physical fitness activities, music, fun and fashion will highlight Family Health/Cancer Awareness Day, sponsored by Franciscan Alliance to benefit the Foundation for Molecular Medicine, at Indiana Dunes State Park June 23.

Teams are urged to enter to run, walk, bike or paddle to raise funds for cancer research.

The event is open to runners, walkers, bikers and paddlers of all ages and abilities who share the goal of finding a cure for cancer.

The race starts at Chesterton Park next to the Chesterton Middle School at the intersection of Morgan and 5th streets and ends before the park entrance where East State Park Boundary Road meets Ind. 49.

Strollers are welcome, but no pets are allowed.
Parking will be available at state park lots.
