LA PORTE — June was a milestone month around the topic of healthcare scholarships, as the La Porte Hospital Foundation completed its 26th annual Healthcare Scholarship Golf Tournament.
Nearly 144 golfers and a slew of volunteers came to Briar Leaf Golf Club in La Porte for a sunny day of golf, fun and philanthropy on June 12. Event proceeds totaled more than $37,000, which will be awarded in the form of scholarships next year to local students pursuing healthcare careers.
