First Midwest Bank’s Highland branch recently awarded a $5,000 grant to Catherine McAuley Clinic in Hammond, a nurse practitioner-managed facility that offers free services to the working poor in the area and is one of the many mission programs of Franciscan St. Margaret Health. The bank has been a longtime partner of the clinic, providing funds to help those without insurance or a government safety net program receive health care, preventative education and ongoing treatment.
