First ever Foodie Trail announced

SOUTH BEND – The Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission has announced 28 restaurants on its first ever Northern Indiana Foodie Trail. The commission announced the trail in conjunction with Midwest Living magazine.

“We wanted to celebrate the diversity of tastes and flavors that make this region special. What better way to do that than by creating a foodie trail featuring the restaurants and foods unique to Northern Indiana,” said Dan Bearss, executive director of the Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission.

Twelve of the restaurants included on the list are from Northwest Indiana. From Porter County, they include Octave Grill of Chesterton, Bistro 157 of Valparaiso, Designer Desserts of Valparaiso, and Wagner’s Ribs of Porter. From LaPorte County, the restaurants are Heston Supper Club of LaPorte, Mucho Mas! Of LaPorte, Shoreline Brewery of Michigan City, and Sahara of Michigan City. From St. Joseph County, the restaurants are West End Bakery of Mishawaka, Moser’s Austrian Café in New Carlisle, Carriage House of South Bend, and Rocco’s Restaurant of South Bend.
