SCHERERVILLE – The Doctor is In has received the Certified Urgent Care designation from the Urgent Care Association of America, making it a true urgent care center. The facility at U.S. 30 and Burr Street opened in 2003.
The clinic provides patients with walk-in, extended-hour medical care.
When a medical condition cannot be handled by a patient’s regular doctor – an unexpected cut, burn sprain or fracture – The Doctor is In provides x-ray, laboratory services, EKG facilities and a physician is always available to provide procedures like casting or suturing.
The Doctor is In is designed to fill the gap between primary care and hospital emergency rooms.
