LA PORTE — Indiana University Health urges area residents to take action toward prevention through discounted cardiovascular screenings for adults and students in La Porte, Marshall and Starke counties in the coming months.

Upcoming Heart Cart visits include the following Thursdays:

*April 3 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at IU Health Medical Offices at LifeWorks Business Park, 3777 N. Frontage Rd. in Michigan City

*April 10 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Eastern time) at IU Health Primary Care at LifePlex, 2855 Miller Dr., Ste. 117, in Plymouth

*April 24 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at IU Health Starke Hospital, 102 E. Culver Rd. in Knox

*May 1 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at IU Health Medical Offices at LifeWorks Business Park, 3777 N. Frontage Rd., Ste. 500, in Michigan City

*May 15 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at the IU Health La Porte Heart & Vascular Center, 901 Lincolnway, Ste. 103, in La Porte

*May 22 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at IU Health Starke Hospital, 102 E. Culver Rd., first floor Conference Room, in Knox

*May 29 from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm (Eastern time) at IU Health Primary Care at LifePlex, 2855 Miller Dr., Ste. 117, in Plymouth

*June 5 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at IU Health the La Porte Heart & Vascular Center, 901 Lincolnway, Ste. 103, in La Porte

*June 12 from 7:30 am to 11:30 am at IU Health Starke Hospital, 102 E. Culver Rd., first floor Conference Room, in Knox

Pre-registration is required. The service is now available at an even lower cost—only $50 for tests normally costing in excess of $1,200. Participants may pay by cash, check, money order or credit card. In order to offer this service at a discount to the community, IU Health does not bill insurance for the services. Participants are responsible for payment in full.
