SOUTH BEND – Developer Dave Matthews has purchased The Emporium Restaurant in downtown South Bend. The 20,000-square-foot building is part of an $8 million development plan by Matthews along the East Bank area of the downtown.
The Emporium will be renovated to include fiber optics and high-speed Internet. The building is across from a $4.5 million effort that includes River Race Townhomes.
