MUNSTER — HIMSS Analytics has announced that the hospitals of Community Healthcare System have achieved Stage 6 on the Electronic Medical Record Adoption ModelSM. HIMSS Analytics uses the model to evaluate and track the progress of the nation’s hospital electronic medical record systems. There are eight stages (0-7) in all, with Stage 7 representing the most advanced electronic patient record environment.
The Epic electronic medical record system has enabled Community Healthcare System hospitals to automate all aspects of the healthcare process – from registration to clinical documentation to measuring outcomes. It has replaced the hospitals’ disparate clinical and financial networks with a single, unified information technology platform.
