The Saint Joseph’s College baseball team held a National Letter of Intent signing and press conference for Cole Dunlap, who was made their Team IMPACT teammate on Tuesday, January 27. Cole is a 17 year old from Rensselaer, Ind. who has mitochondrial disease – a condition in which mitochondria, specialized compartments within every cell in the body excluding the red blood cells, fail.
The signing was held in the Presidential Suite of the Richard F. Scharf Alumni Fieldhouse. More than 150 SJC students and faculty were in attendance with every athletic team on campus represented. Director of Sports Information Ken Badylak ’05 started the signing by welcoming everyone to the special event and introducing the next speaker, Director of Athletics Bill Massoels ’89, who welcomed Cole to the SJC community.
