Civil War Exhibit On Display Through April 30

HAMMOND – The South Shore Civil War Memorial Trail’s exhibit, “Region United, Nation Divided: Following Lincoln,” will be on display at the Indiana Welcome Center through Wednesday, April 30. The exhibit showcases the region’s answer to Abraham Lincoln’s call to action during the Civil War.

Featured in the exhibit are hundreds of photographs, artifacts and reproductions of Northwest Indiana regiment battle flags. Additionally, there will be a reproduction of Lincoln’s funeral train and map as well as the Indiana Historical Society’s traveling exhibit, The Faces of Lincoln.
