HAMMOND – Prevent Child Abuse Lake County will host an art project, “CHAIRish the Children,” which consists of child-size chairs that have been creatively decorated by students from schools throughout Lake County.
The chairs were judged by Indiana University Northwest art students and the winners will be announced at a reception from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 3 at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond. The chairs will be on display at the center through Sunday, May 6.
Prevent Child Abuse Lake County is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect through education, increased awareness and advocacy.
