HAMMOND — A musical, holiday romp through the winter wonderland of northwest Indiana will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 16 as Purdue University Calumet and Hammond’s Towle Theater partner in presenting the university’s next Building Community through the Arts program.
Titled “Celebrating Winter in Northwest Indiana”, the free, diverse offering begins at 2 p.m. at the downtown Hammond theater, located at 5205 Hohman Ave. The program will include holiday trees decorated in honor of various cultures, holiday carols from around the world, music and a sampling of food. Also being presented are highlights from the Towle’s popular holiday production, “A Fabulous 50’s Christmas.”
