Family members of the late John Lanman, MD, joined the Catherine McAuley Clinic staff, board of volunteers and Franciscan Alliance management recently gathered for the dedication of a plaque in his honor. A longtime member of the Franciscan St. Margaret Health-Hammond medical staff, Dr. Lanman continued to volunteer his time to the clinic well into his retirement. The plaque was the idea of clinic staff members, who spent numerous hours working with Dr. Lanman. It hangs in the hallway, just outside of the exam room where Dr. Lanman saw patients. The clinic, 5514 Hohman Ave., Hammond, serves the working poor and the uninsured of northern Lake County and is an outreach program of Franciscan St. Margaret Health.
