LAPORTE – Camp Summit Boot Camp recently partnered with Indiana first lady Cheri Daniels in the Hoosiers Helping Hoosiers Food Drive. Staff at the boot camp contributed 185 food items.
The items were donated to Good Shepherd Food Pantry in LaPorte, which will distribute it to families in the area. The pantry serves about 400 families a month.
“During these difficult times everyone is struggling,” said Superintendent Cecil Davis. “This truly shows the generosity of our staff in donating to those who are less fortunate.”
Camp Summit is a military style boot camp for male juveniles. It has a capacity of 95 beds.
