LA PORTE — The community is invited to experience the area’s newest eatery – Café 1007, open now at Indiana University Health La Porte Hospital, 1007 Lincolnway, La Porte. The newly-remodeled facility in the hospital’s lower level has been transformed from a typical cafeteria to a high-end, health-infused eatery with exciting new features such as sauté stations, a grain bar with rare and interesting selections, and the community’s only full-service salad bar.
“We are thrilled to re-open as one of the community’s most healthy places to obtain affordable, delicious food,” said Diana Mebust, director of food and nutrition services at IU Health La Porte Hospital. “Our colleagues, patients and visitors have enjoyed the food in our cafeteria for years, but now they have an entirely new experience that keeps healthy, delicious eating – at the forefront of our work.”
