SOUTH BEND – Alice Blakesley of Memorial Hospital and Safe Kids St. Joseph County has received the seventh annual Connie K. Gibbs Child Safety Advocate Award. It honors people and organizations who exhibit true dedication to the prevention of injuries and deaths among children.
Blakesley’s activities include child passenger safety, bicycle safety, “Trauma Nurses Talk Tough,” fall prevention, poison prevention, babysitting classes, and Halloween safety.
