CROWN POINT — The Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT) recently gifted the sum of $1000 to the local chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers.  Both non-profit groups are dedicated to safety and the promotion of safe work practices throughout Northwest Indiana.

This donation was possible due to the success of the ASSE and NWIBRT’s partnership in producing a local safety conference: the Beyond Safety and Reliability Conference and Expo. The Beyond Safety Conference, which occurred in February at the Radisson Star Plaza, is an annual safety conference in Northwest Indiana that promotes the practices of workplace safety in a variety of different fields by offering expos and educational sessions on safety-related topics.

This year’s Beyond Safety and Reliability Conference was a massive success, drawing a significantly larger crowd than years prior. Each year, a portion of the conference proceeds are donated to the ASSE, which promotes safety not just in Indiana, but throughout the United States.
