GARY – Wright Alcorn has joined Methodist Hospitals as vice president of operations.

Alcorn has experience in hospital and health system administration. He has been interim vice president of operations since Feb. 27.

He will be responsible for Centers of Excellence, clinical ancillary departments including laboratory/radiology/imaging and outpatient diagnostics and the facilities, plant operations and food service areas.

Previously, Wright was at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta for 19 years as vice president of patient services. He also worked at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas for six years.

He is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.
