Womens Inspirational Event

On Saturday, May 21, “JOY IN THE JOURNEY,” a womens inspirational event will be held at the Valparaiso Family YMCA (1201 Cumberland Crossing Drive, Valparaiso).  This event is a break away from the typical Saturday routine for all women seeking joy in the journey towards building a healthy spirit, mind, and body. The event begins at 8:30 AM with a light continental breakfast, nutritious snacks will be provided throughout the morning, and a box luncheon is included.

The morning is filled with multiple workshops from which all participants may choose three.  These include a session on parenting, love languages, Bible study, chair yoga, self-healing touch, making soul collages, prayer bouquets, spiritual writing, gentle healing movements, nutrition, and local author book discussion.

After the luncheon, Holly Aungst, wellness professional and inspirational speaker, will bring the keynote address, Redefining Wellness – Your Personal Journey.

Holly Aungst is a Christian wife and mother who has spent the past 20 years working in the field of health promotion.  Her diverse professional background includes community recreation programming and management, K-12 public school teaching, corporate, group, and personal fitness and nearly a decade in higher education.
