Superintendent Cecil Davis said Watts was previously Youth Services Instructor.
Watts was been at Camp Summit since 2008. He also has been a correctional officer at Westville Correctional Facility.
“With Mr. Watts’ experience and contributions to the mission of Camp Summit and our agency, I believe with his new leadership role he will have an even greater positive impact on staff and students alike,” said Davis.
Camp Summit is a male juvenile facility and is the Indiana Department of Correction’s only military-style boot camp. It has a capacity of 95 beds and is set up to handle juveniles from all of Indiana’s 92 counties.
