Sav-A-Lot to open two new stores

WHEATFIELD – Save-A-Lot, a national discount supermarket chain, will open stores in Wheatfield and Kouts.

The stores will be owned by Tysen’s Family Market, which operates supermarkets in DeMotte, Delphi, Hammond, Michigan City and Rensselaer.

Todd Hinson, CEO of Tysen’s Family Market, said Sav-A-Lot stores offer grocers at 40 percent less than traditional grocery stores. Nationwide, Sav-A-Lot has 1,300 stores in 39 states.
