RDA taps internal executive for interim CEO role

The Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority has named an interim leader to take over for its CEO who is departing next month.

The RDA board of directors announced Jan. 14 Sherri Ziller, the organization’s chief operating officer, was unanimously named to the interim post. Bill Hanna, who served as president and CEO the past decade, announced his resignation Jan. 12.

Hanna’s last day with the RDA is Feb. 12. He will become executive director of the Dean and Barbara White Family Foundation.

The RDA also announced it re-elected Don Fesko as board chairman, Randy Palmateer as vice chairman, and Chris Campbell as secretary/treasurer.

The RDA said a search committee, comprised of board officers, would begin a search for a new CEO soon.
