WEST LAFAYETTE – Hammond native Roland G. Parrish recently donated $2 million to help with a $4.2 million renovation of the Purdue University Management and Economics Library. When work is finished in early 2012, the library will be renamed The Roland G. Parish Library of Management and Economics.

Parish, who now lives in Texas, graduated from Hammond High School and Purdue University. He owns 25 McDonald’s franchises in and around Dallas.

In addition, Parish has donated money for the Lambert Fieldhouse indoor track and field scoreboard and a scholarship in memory of his Purdue mentor, Cornell Bell. He was the first student recruited by Bell into the Krannert School of Management’s Business Opportunity Program and has received Krannert’s Burton Morgan Entrepreneurship Award.
