
The results, released July 16 in the Chronicle’s annual report on the Academic Workplace, are based on a survey of more than 53,000 people at 253 colleges and universities. The primary factor in determining whether an institution received recognition as a “Great College to Work For” was employee feedback.
Notre Dame ranked high in nine survey categories:
- Compensation and benefits
- Confidence in senior leadership
- Facilities, workspace and security
- Job satisfaction
- Respect and appreciation
- Supervisor/department chair relationship
- Teaching environment (for faculty)
- Tenure clarity and process (for faculty)
- Work/life balance
