Northwest Health — La Porte recently announced the appointment of four new members to its board of trustees.
“Our board of trustees is a highly committed group of leaders who are dedicated to our mission and vision to deliver quality health care to our community,” said Keith Nichols, chief executive officer for Northwest Health — La Porte, in a press release. “We look forward working together this coming year to better meet the health care needs of our community.”
The four new board members are:
- Jackie Dermody, who is the chief executive officer for Family Advocates, a nonprofit agency that serves children and families. She also is a past board chair of the La Porte Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
- Laura Francesconi, who retired from Meridian Title Corp. and now is the campaign coordinator for the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership and Economic Development Corp. Michigan City.
- Benjamin Tonagel, who is the assistant superintendent for the La Porte Community School Corp. and former La Porte High School principal.
- Dr. Neil Wangstrom, an otolaryngologist and ear, nose and throat specialist with Northwest Medical Group. He also is a member of the medical staff at Northwest Health — La Porte.
