Lakeshore PAWS, in partnership with Fifth Third Bank, will host the second annual “Pets for Vets” animal adoption effort on Veterans Day, which is on Friday, November 11, 2016.

From 12/noon to 6 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016, active duty and / or veterans of the United States Armed Forces can adopt a pet without paying any adoption fees by visiting Lakeshore PAWS located at 4611 Evans Avenue, Valparaiso.

Fifth Third Bank’s generous $3,000 donation, along with Lakeshore PAWS donation of $50 off of each adoption will allow Lakeshore PAWS to help 15 or more veterans and or military members add a new four-legged member to their family. All adoptions will go through Lakeshore PAWS standard protocols.

“What better way to thank our veterans for all they have done for our Country, than to provide them with an animal friend that will bring years of love and devotion,” said Michael Sobeck, Fifth Third Bank. “Though this gesture is small in comparison to what they have given us, we hope it will provide them with a lifetime of wonderful memories,” he said.
