GARY – Sandra Hall Smith of the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs has accepted the position of assistant director of the Center for Urban and Regional Excellence (C.U.R.E.) at Indiana University Northwest.
C.U.R.E.’s mission is to cultivate grassroots projects and see them through.
“I thought if I worked at a university I would be able to complete that goal,” said Smith. “One thing I envision is steady work with community partners. I can’t emphasize that enough.”
