WASHINGTON, D.C. – The American Great Lakes Ports Association has announced that Green Marine has received the Sustainable Shipping Award for its efforts in improving environmental efficiency.
Green Marine, based in Quebec City, Canada, is a joint Canadian-U.S. organization with 120 members that monitors the environmental activities of shippers, ports, terminals and shipyards in the Great Lakes.
The award, presented in London, was accepted by executive director David Bolduc. “Green Marine’s participants deserve to be recognized and applauded for the extraordinary efforts they have undertaken to improve their environmental performance.”
