PORTAGE – Fronius International, which recently announced plans for a 400,000 square foot operation at Ameriplex at the Port, may soon move its U.S. headquarters to Portage.
A proposal to do that was presented to the Portage Plan Commission on Aug. 1. The move could bring 512 jobs to the city by 2016.
Fronius, based in Austria, said it will employ 100 people at the Ameriplex site to manufacture solar panels.
