PORTAGE – The Northwest Indiana Forum will host a special Business Development Seminar at its office at 6100 Southport Road, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 4. The speaker will be Scott Taylor, an expert on foreign trade zones.
The session will focus on the expansion of the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor’s Foreign Trade Zone No. 152 to cover Lake, Porter, LaPorte, Starke, Newton and Jasper counties. It would allow businesses anywhere in those six counties to join an FTZ easier and in as little as 30 days.
