William Scott Hasse (Billy), 27, and Kimberly Hasse O’Halloran, 29 , both recently joined the 98-year-old general contractor, currently based out of Calumet City, IL and Munster, IN. Billy has joined as a Project Manager, and Kimberly as the Director of Business Development.
According to The Family Business Institute, only 3% of family businesses operate into the fourth generation and beyond. Kimberly and Billy, siblings, represent the fourth generation of Hasse family members to work at the construction company.
Hasse Construction Company has been in business since 1920. Hasse and O’Halloran’s greatgrandfather, William A. Hasse, joined in 1920, and their grandfather, William A. Hasse Jr., joined the business in 1956.
William A. Hasse III (Bill), father of both Billy and Kimberly, joined the business in 1982 and became president in 1985. John Hasse joined in 1990 to head up Hasse Engineering Services – the design/build division of the company. Bill and John are currently both owners of Hasse Construction Company.
Billy joins Hasse with a background in construction management. He attended Purdue University, where he received his bachelor's degree in Building Construction Management and spent multiple college summers interning at different firms. Post-graduation, Billy spent several years managing the construction of senior living facilities in Indiana and Illinois before embarking to Denver where he recently graduated with an MBA from the University of Denver, concentrating in Real Estate Development. While obtaining his MBA, he served as the President of the University of Denver's Real Estate and Construction Management (RECM) Club and interned with a national apartment developer and operator.

My goal is to preserve this rich history and great reputation of providing tremendous service while delivering a great final product, all while continuing to innovate and expand our services as we take the business into the fourth generation and generations that follow, ” said Billy Hasse.
Kimberly joins Hasse from one of the largest human capital solutions providers in the world, CareerBuilder, where she spent 9 years in various corporate roles, including operations leadership and consulting with Fortune 100 businesses on implementation of their human capital software solutions. During her time at CareerBuilder, she was a leader in demand generation marketing, product marketing, project management, and product management. Kimberly is also a licensed Realtor. Kimberly attended DePaul University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Real Estate and most recently graduated with her MBA, concentrating in Finance.
