For the Love of Arts, a nonprofit founded in 2015 in Hammond that helps youth develop life skills, is expanding into Griffith.
The organization is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony April 1 at the new location at 1115 E. Ridge Road in Griffith.
“We are excited to expand our reach to the town of Griffith as well as all of Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland,” said Sade Carrasquillo, founder of For the Love of Arts Community Center, in a press release. “Proceeds from this event will go right back into our community programs.”
For the Love of the Arts evolved through a partnership with Communities in Schools Lake County. More than 300 student in Lake County have been impacted by the organization's programming.
