MUNSTER – Dr. Shaheen Parvez has opened Urgent Care in Munster. Parvez, an emergency room doctor for 10 years, said he opened the center to alleviate the increasing number of emergency room visits by patients.
“Emergency rooms provide excellent care, however, I’ve seen patients wait three hours and spend countless dollars when they have a non-life threatening issue,” said Parvez. “This beautiful facility is a great start to finally offer urgent care in my community and allow people to understand the value of urgent care.”
Urgent Care is at 1640 S. 45th St. and is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
