Brewers Brawl set for Michigan City

MICHIGAN CITY – In partnership with the United Way of LaPorte County and the LaPorte County Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, The Northwest Indiana Leaders Young Professional Network will host its inaugural Midwest Brewers Brawl on Sunday, July 28.

The inaugural Midwest Brewers Brawl will be at the Washington Park Pavilion in Michigan City, and will kick off the fifth annual Great Lakes Grand Prix offshore powerboat race. Attendees will enjoy several of the region’s most delicious craft brews while enjoying the serene beauty of the Lake Michigan waterfront; as well as live music, a 50/50 raffle, and several other tasty treats. Regional brewers will be showing off their best brews, competing to win Best in Class awards for best stout, best IPA and best wheat beer as well as the coveted “Best of Brawl” award.

Participants must be 21 or older to purchase tickets and to enter. General admission is $40 and begins at 3 p.m. VIP ticketholders will enjoy early access beginning at 2 p.m., an event t-shirt, and food, compliments of Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa. VIP tickets are $60. All tickets are available online at www.brewersbrawl.com. T-shirts will also be available for $10. Parking will be available in Washington Park for an additional $7.

Proceeds will benefit Minds in Motion, a revolutionary program that integrates the brain and body, emphasizing the physiological link between learning and moving with children.
