Branding, Brewing, Trending Events

Branding on a Budget will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday June 15 at Purdue Technology Center of NWI, 9800 Connecticut Drive.

The workshop will help guide small business owners on how to build a branding strategy through cost-effective methods. The event is facilitated by Subir Bandyopadhyay, PhD, professor of marketing at Indiana University Northwest.

There is no cost but registration is requested. To register, visit www.nwisbdc.org, click on workshops and events, find the event and follow instructions. The event is supported by a Regional Economic Development grant from the Council for Regional Engagement and Economic Development Indiana University.

Event objectives include: uncovering the challenges faced by small businesses in marketing their products and services, illustrating how branding is key to the success of small businesses, helping small businesses explore various cost-efficient, yet effective, media that are available to maximize exposure and providing participants with a step-by-step template to develop and implement a branding strategy for their organizations.

The event is just one that is planned for Indiana Entrepreneurship Week, June 14 to 20. The Northwest ISBDC is also helping host Brewing Up Business Northwest Indiana from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday June 16 at the Sand Creek Country Club, 1001 Sand Creek Drive, in Chesterton. Trends and Challenges of Entrepreneurship will be from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday June 18 at the Purdue Technology Center of NWI.
