GARY – Armstrong AeroMod, which specializes in installing in-flight communications systems, will open an operation at Gary/Chicago International Airport.
The company, based in Itasca, Ill., will operate an avionics test center in a hangar owned by the Gary Jet Center. The company also is talking about a possible technology partnership with Purdue University and the University of Notre Dame.
AeroMod will service major airlines, including Southwest, United, France Air and British Air.
