MISHAWAKA – Franciscan Alliance has announced it is putting its two Illinois hospitals up for sale. Eleven of Franciscan’s 13 hospitals are in Indiana. The two in Illinois – in Chicago Heights and Olympia Fields – recently underwent $300 million in improvements. An outside health consultant has been hired to help Franciscan through the process.
PORTAGE – Holladay Properties in Portage recently closed on the sale of the 73,000-square-foot Ashland Building at the Ameriplex at the Port. It originally was built for Sanofi-Adventis and is currently home to MonoSol Rx. The $6.1 million sale to Space Center Inc. closed in early May and was brokered by Mike Micka.
