SOUTH BEND – Heritage Place at LaSalle Square, which provides housing for senior citizens, has opened in South Bend. HAMMOND – Purdue University has announced it has canceled plans to open a technology center in Chicago, and instead will concentrate on finding a location in Northwest Indiana. SOUTH BEND – Schafer Gear Works has acquired the assets of Dana Holding Corp.’s leisure, all-terrain and utility vehicle axle and differential business in Fredericktown, Ohio, and Blacklick, Ohio.
