HOBART – The Maria Reiner Center for seniors in Hobart has announced it is doubling its annual dues. The fee will be $25 for residents and $40 for non-residents, up from $10 and $20. The center has 1,000 members. The center’s board said the increase was needed in order to meet rising costs.
MICHIGAN CITY – The Woodland Cancer Care Center has opened at 8955 W. County Road 400 North, just south of Michigan City. The $12 million, 20,000-square-foot facility is operated by Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Michigan City. It offers Trilogy Linear Accelerator, PET/CT scan and diagnostic CT, 13 infusion bays, a laboratory and pharmacy and cancer screenings.
