MISHAWAKA – St. Joseph Regional Medical Center has been named one of the nation’s “Most Wired” hospitals, according to the results of the 2013 Most Wired Survey released in the July issue of Hospitals & Health Networks (H&HN) magazine.
Recognized for the third year running, SJRMC is the only hospital in Northern Indiana to achieve this recognition, and one of nine in Indiana.
“We continue to take first steps to bring the latest technology into patient care. But we know this journey never ends,” says Albert Gutierrez, president and chief executive officer of SJRMC. “We seek enhanced tools to help us continue to provide more efficient, affordable and exceptional care. We understand investing in technologies today is going to expand our horizons for the future.”
Health Care’s Most Wired Survey, conducted between Jan. 15 and March 15, asked hospitals and health systems nationwide to answer questions regarding their IT initiatives. Respondents completed 659 surveys, representing 1,713 hospitals, or roughly 30 percent of all U.S. hospitals.
