MERRILLVILLE – Hoeppner Wagner & Evans LLP has announced that Shelbie J. Byers has joined the firm as an associate.

Byers, who is in the firm’s Merrillville office, focuses her practice on labor and employment law and litigation. Most recently, she was an associate at the Chicago office of Proskauer Rose LLP where she represented clients before the state and federal courts and administrative agencies in a variety of labor and employment matters. She also has experience with the Employment and Labor Group of Sidley Austin LLP.

Byers received her law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law in May 2008.
