Drive Clean Indiana to host conference in Michigan City

Drive Clean Indiana will address ways to lower high diesel fuel costs during a two-day conference this fall.

Community and business leaders interested in advancing Indiana's transition to clean energy are invited to attend the Crossroads Clean Tech Conference: Get on the Road to What’s Next! from Nov. 17 to 18 at the Stardust Event Center at Blue Chip Casino in Michigan City.

“From cutting-edge vehicle displays to deep-dive sessions on grid modernization and workforce development, the conference serves as a collaborative hub for driving real-world environmental and economic impact,” said Carl Lisek, executive director of Drive Clean Indiana, in a press release.

Topics will included the latest innovations in fuel and vehicle technology, infrastructure, grid modernization, incentives and the needed workforce.

Agenda items include:

  • Advanced transportation and fuels: Explore the latest innovations in fuels, vehicle technologies and infrastructure development.
  • Grid modernization and Sstorage: Address the evolving energy grid, data centers and breakthroughs in energy storage.
  • Economy, strategy and policy: Explore how incentives, funding opportunities, and the evolving regulatory landscape are shaping projects, investment, and the future of Indiana’s transportation and energy sectors.
  • Workforce 2030: Preparing the next-generation workforce with the skills and training needed for a rapidly transforming energy economy.

A networking event Nov. 17 will include awards for those advancing clean energy transportation initiatives in Indiana.
