More than 1,000 business leaders attended the 15th Influential Women Awards on Sept. 24 at Avalon Manor in Merrillville.

The Northwest Indiana Influential Women Association's honored 30 women who lead with vision in 13 industries.

“Fifteen years of the Influential Women Awards is an incredible milestone, but what stands out most is the continued strength and diversity of the women being recognized,” said Andrea Pearman, executive firector of NWIIWA, in a press release. “This anniversary gives us an opportunity to not only celebrate how far the program has come, but also to recognize the women who are helping shape what comes next.”

The community is invited to nominate women every year in 13 categories for up-and-coming and influential honors.
