Franchise owner Joe Haberkorn celebrated the grand opening of the Jersey Mike’s Subs in Portage on March 4.

Jersey Mike's is known for its freshly sliced and grilled subway sandwiches. The location will offer delivery through the company app.

The celebration also was a fundraiser for Portage High School. The new location is at 5976 US Highway 6.

Jersey Mike's was founded in 1956 in Point Pleasant, New Jersey. It now has 3,200 franchise locations in the U.S. and Canada.
