3 Powers Health facilities reaccredited for rehabilitation

Three Powers Health facilities have been CARF reaccredited for their acute rehabilitation services.

St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart and Powers Health Rehabilitation Center in Crown Point underwent a peer-review process to receive the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities' highest honor. The facilities also were reviewed during on-site visits.

“We are beyond proud of our acute rehabilitation teams at Powers Health,” said Craig Bolda, vice president of acute rehabilitation services for Powers Health, in a press release. “The care, compassion and outstanding treatment offered is among the best in Northwest Indiana and the Chicago area.”

The reaccreditations will last three years. Powers Health offers rehabilitative services for accidents and injuries, illness, surgeries, stroke and other reasons as determined by a doctor.

CARF International, founded in 1966, is a nonprofit that accredits health and human services facilities.
