Methodist Hospitals former controller returns as CFO

Two decades was long enough for James Mack to be away from the Methodist Hospitals family. He was appointed vice president and chief financial officer at Methodist Hospitals based in Gary.

Mack was controller at Methodist from 1987 to 2006.

“We are gratified that Jamie has returned to the Methodist Family and are confident that he will make important contributions to our goal to remain a successful, independent health system focused solely on Northwest Indiana, and to our mission to provide high-quality health care to all those in need,” said Matt Doyle, Methodist Hospitals president and CEO, in a press release.

Most recently, Mack spent 10 years as vice president of finance at St. Anthony Hospital in Chicago. He also served in senior leadership positions at Sinai Health Systems in Chicago and Pinnacle Hospital in Crown Point, among others.

Mack, a certified public accountant, earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Ball State University and a master's in health care administration, public affairs, health services administration from Indiana University.
