PNW appoints dean

Purdue University Northwest has named Dr. David Taylor as the new College of Business dean, effective July 1.

Taylor currently serves as dean of the Jack Welch College of Business & Technology at Sacred Heart University, where he is also a professor of marketing. He previously held leadership roles at that institution as associate dean, Sacred Heart University Luxembourg director and department of marketing chair, among other roles.

Taylor’s academic administrative accomplishments include:

  • Overseeing a 12% increase in undergraduate enrollment
  • Securing accreditation for computer and electrical engineering programs
  • Increasing undergraduate retention rates
  • Leading course and curricular development/revisions
  • Developing an undergraduate semester abroad program

Taylor earned his Ph.D. in marketing and MBA with a marketing concentration from the University of North Texas. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from LeTourneau University and bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas.

Dr. Kwangsoo Park will continuing serving as interim College of Business dean through June.
