Valpo Parks doubles down on golf

Valpo Parks recently announced a wave of upgrades across its golf facilities at Creekside Golf Course & Training Center and Forest Park Golf Course.

A new operating system was implemented in late 2024 to streamline check-in and course play. Planned updates in 2025 and 2026 include:

  • New cart paths at both Creekside and Forest Park.
  • New irrigation system at Forest Park to replace the 35-year-old system.
  • Two simulators at Creekside to expand year-round play and training options.
  • New Club Car fleet at Forest Park.
  • New benches and ball washers at Forest Park.

The Bender Golf Teehouse is nearing completion. It features 12 covered bays equipped with heaters and fans—allowing for year-round practice.

“At Valpo Parks, we recognize that golf is more than just a game; it's a cherished recreational opportunity that fosters connection and healthy lifestyles within our community,” said Kevin Nuppnau, Valpo Parks director, in a press release. “We are deeply committed to investing in and maintaining our golf courses to ensure they consistently offer a high-quality, welcoming, value-driven experience for all our residents and guests.”
