Duneland Chamber announces community award winners

The Duneland Chamber of Commerce is hosting an awards ceremony July 16 to honor individuals and businesses making a difference in Duneland.   

The award categories and honorees include:

  • New Construction Award: Chesterton Police Station, Cergizan’s Auto and Truck Repair, Net Par, Great and Small Animal Clinic
  • Business Renovation Award: Pizza Terra, Westchester Public Library
  • Putting Duneland on the Map Award: Chesterton Cruise-In
  • Humanitarian of the Year Award: Angela Wehner
  • Golden Achievement Award: Tom Roberts
  • Volunteer of the Year Award: to be announced
  • Serviceperson of the Year Award: to be announced
  • Duneland Distinguished Woman: to be announced

“We are incredibly excited to present these awards to such deserving winners,” said Maura Mundell, Duneland Chamber president, in a press release. “Their dedication and hard work have made a significant impact on our community, and it is an honor to recognize their contributions.”

The awards ceremony and lunch will take place 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 16 at the Spa Speakeasy & Special Event Center in Porter.
